Sports Connection Rainout Policy

1. We do not cancel for the THREAT of weather. We make rainout decisions based on what is happening at OUR locations. We track the weather radar, but we are not weathermen. If we can play...we play.

2. We only cancel games when play becomes unsafe, whether it be due to field conditions, thunder & lightning, etc. For off-site fields, we are sometimes forced to cancel if Parks & Recreation decides to close their fields.

3. We will always make a decision ONE HOUR before the start of a game. If a game is canceled, we will update our website and rainout hotline. If nothing is noted, that means there has been no change and we are on. You can always call our office at 704-583-1444 to speak to a staff member if you have questions also.

4. When weather strikes, we will delay a game up to 20 minutes, then resume if possible. If after 20 minutes, play cannot be resumed, we will cancel THAT game and continue with the regular schedule of the night. Again, decisions will be made 1 hour before a game. If fields become unsuitable for play, are closed or conditions seem unsafe...we will cancel ALL games, update our website/hotline and contact captains.
