Sports Connection management reserves the right to change or amend the rules at any time. It is the player's and coach's responsibility to know all the current rules and guidelines.
 

Thursday Night George Pappas Bowling League Rules

ALL PLAYERS are required to have Valid Player's Card to participate in any Sports Connection League
 
Sports Connection League will bowl on Thursday nights at 9:00pm with 4-person teams.  Teams will consist of at least 2 males/2 females, however a team may substitute a female bowler for a male bowler.  

This will be a handicap league using the formula of 80% of the difference of the bowlers average and a scratch score of 200

Blind score will be the bowlers average less 10 pins plus the bowler's handicap.

Vacancy score will be 120 for men and women with 64 pins handicap.

Teams failing to appear for a scheduled match without a valid excuse will receive a forfeit; the opposing team must bowl to receive credit for the games. The team must come within 10 pins of their average.

In case of an emergency the league will allow a makeup providing a league representative is present.

The point system will be 2 points for each game and 2 points for total pins.

A legal lineup will consist of at least 2 bowlers of the regular team members.

Late bowlers may catch up providing the opposing team has not started the fourth frame.

A new team will assume the position standing of the team it replaces and qualify for any prizes it may win.

Rotating subs can be used, No subs will be used on position rounds unless whole league agrees.  The sub's handicap must be calculated at the end of the game if there is not one already existing.  Subs are not to use the handicap of a regular team member.  

USBC Rule Book will cover all rules not covered by the league.
 
Pre-bowling will be allowed if a bowler is unable to make their night of bowling. They may come in before their league night and bowl their 3 games. The scores will be put with their team the night of league. Please contact George Pappas Lanes bowling alley at 704-523-7633 to schedule a pre-bowling time. The caller must inform the bowling alley they bowl with Sports Connection in the Thursday night league and need to pre-bowl. The bowling alley will then schedule an available time. The best times are Sunday and Monday nights. The bowling alley can refuse pre-bowling if there are no lanes available. All games must be pre-bowled before that week's games.
