SPORTS CAMPS - FULL DAY - NORTHLAKE

Summer Camps at Sports Connection-Northlake (formerly Charlotte Sports Center) are INDOORS, air-conditioned and lots of fun!  Our qualified and caring instructors use fun drills, skill games, scrimmages and expert instruction to teach sports, teamwork and fun in a safe playing environment.

Our SPORTS Camps are for boys and girls ages 6 to 13. Each camper chooses a MAJOR SPORT to learn and play for approximately 3 hours each day of camp.  The other half of the day, campers will enjoy playing other MINOR SPORTS, GAMES & FUN ACTIVITIES.

MAJOR SPORT choices include: Soccer, Flag Football, Basketball, Dance or Cheerleading.

MINOR SPORTS, GAMES & ACTIVITIES include: Soccer, Flag Football, Basketball, Whiffleball, Dodgeball, Laser Tag, Arcade Games, Volleyball, Kickball, Floor Hockey, Mini Bowling, Inflatables, Track & Field, etc.

In addition to the Full Day SPORTS Camps, we also offer Full & Half Day Super Terrific Fun Camps and Volleyball Camps at our North AND South Sport Connection Locations.

Camp Times
 The Sports Connection's SPORTS Camps are from 8:30 AM until 4:30 PM Monday-Friday.  Early drop-off (8:00-8:30 AM) and late pick-up 4:30-5:00 PM) is available for Full Day Camps at NO additional charge.  Extended Drop-Off / Pick-Up time is available from 7:00-8:00 AM ($25 per week) and 5:00-6:00 PM ($35 per week), or $50 for both per week.  Registration Fee
 An Annual Registration Fee (Player's Card) is required for all Summer Camps.  The Registration Fee is $25 per Camper or $35 per Family.

*Camp Balance is due by April 15, 2012 to qualify for the Early Registration Price.  Camp transfers are available at no charge if done at least three weeks before camp begins.  Camp refunds are available (minus a $50 cancellation fee) if done at least three weeks before camp begins.  For campers attending multiple weeks of camp and would like to discuss a payment plan, please call 704-583-1444 and ask for one of our camp directors.
 

Required Equipment
Campers are required to wear sneakers and socks to camp each day.   No sandals or Heelys.  Socks are required to be worn at all times in the inflatable area. 

Camp Staff
The camp counselors are full-time employees of the Sports Connection, Physical Education Instructors, School Teachers and other local Sports Enthusiasts . Our ratio is 8 to 10 campers per counselor.

Camp Snacks
The Sports Connection will provide time for snacks and beverages each morning and afternoon for all campers. Beverages and snacks will be available for purchase at the Sports Connection snack bar.  Campers are welcome to bring their own snacks and beverages as well.

Camp Lunch
Each camper is responsible for bringing his/her own bag lunch Monday through Thursday.  The Sport Connection will treat all campers to Pizza and Chips on Friday.


Optional Lunch Program  The Sports Connection is offering an Optional Hot Lunch Program Monday-Thursday each week of camp.  The daily hot lunch includes a drink and is $5 per day per child.  Parents can register and pay for the lunch program on the first day of camp or online.

SPORTS Camp FAQ's
1. Where will the SPORTS Camp take place?
  The Sports Connection SPORTS Camp will take place at our Northlake-Indoor Sports Facility (formerly Charlotte Sports Center) located at 8626 Hankins Road in North Charlotte.

2. What is the cost?  Are there sibling discounts?
 Camp will cost $185-$215 per person.  An early registration fee of $185 is eligible to anyone who registers and pays in full by April 15th.  Because we have a limited amount of space available, we DO NOT offer sibling discounts.

3. Do I need to purchase a Player's Card Annual Membership Fee?
 All campers will need a valid Sports Connection Player's Card to attend camp.  If you previously purchased a Player's Card and are unsure whether or not it is still valid, please check you MySAM account or call us at 704-583-1444 to verify your child's Player Card expiration date.

4. What ages are appropriate for the SPORTS Camp?
Because it is a full day of camp, we ask that only campers age 6-13 sign up for this camp.  If you have a younger child looking to participate in one of our camps, please explore our Half-Day Summer Fun Camps.  If your child is 13-15 years of age and would like to apply to be a Counselor In Training, please contact one of our camp directors at 704-583-1444

5. What time will camp begin and end?
The SPORTS Camp will be 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.  Early Drop Off (7:00 - 8:00 AM) is available for $25 per week.  Late Pick-Up (5:00 - 6:00 PM) is available for $35 per week.  Early Drop Off AND Late Pick-Up is available for $50 per week.

6. Will Lunch be provided?
 Each camper is responsible for bringing his/her own bag lunch Monday through Thursday.  The Sports Connection will treat all campers to pizza and chips on Friday.
